Pre - Production

Online

Youtube enabled me to discover tutorial videos and also clips from similar products to aid the planning of my opening title sequence, in particular the fake poisoned mouth effect tutorial which gave me an insight into how practical effects can be highly effective yet difficult to achieve .

Amazon enabled my group and I to buy costumes and props at an affordable cost with one day delivery, this was a useful website that always delivers purchases when we needed them.

Whatsapp enabled me to communicate effectively and efficiently with my group. We could send pictures and share ideas with each other which would be saved in the chat unlike snapchat which did not save our conversations.

Blogger enabled me to record my progress and development throughout the A1 opening sequence coursework, it also helped me to keep track of ideas, planning stages and the development of production skills which all contributed the the success of the pre-production stage.

Hardware

Software

My smartphone enabled us to take photos and record the test shoot to trial the initial ideas of our opening title sequence which allowed me and my group to decide if any further changes to the camera angles and narrative should be made.

Imovie allowed our group to edit the test shoot to act as a practice go at editing something, it also began the thought process of thinking about shot duration and how the stylisation of the titles themselves (eg font, color and placement) it also however presented the limitations of Imovie such as the lack of colour correction tools and media industry must haves such as 'bins'.
